Looking for business debt advice in Manchester? Call 4R Business Recovery for help

Companies in need of business debt advice have been told to look towards exports, as this can be a way of improving the balance sheet of a firm.

Andy Tuscher, head of external affairs at manufacturers' organisation the EEF, stated that exports have increased over the last six months.

"We do need to have an export-led economy and to do that we need the banks to play ball and make finance more readily available," he said.

The EEF head of external affairs explained that banks are not lending money to firms, which could leave companies needing business debt advice should they attempt to try to expand.

Mr Tuscher was commenting after the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) stated that figures showing the manufacturing sector has been boosted in recent months do not mean the recovery of the industry is now complete.

David Kern, chief economist at the BCC, called on the government to provide more support to ensure the sector stays healthy.
